"The Good Shepherd" Devotional





 

Introduction


Welcome to this devotional based on LMA Episode 1, “The Good Shepherd.” In this time of reflection, we will explore the richness of life that comes through Christ and how we can acknowledge His presence in our daily lives. As you engage with these questions and scriptures we encourage you to have a journal and your Bible handy!There are sentence stems below to support you in your processing if needed.


Guiding Questions


  • Abundance of Life: In which areas of your life do you currently acknowledge abundance through Christ? Reflect on how this looks in different aspects such as spiritually, emotionally, relationally, financially, creatively, etc. (fill in the blank)

  • Knowing God: John 17:3 defines eternal life: “And this is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” How can you practically acknowledge God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, on a daily basis?

  • Reflection: Following Jesus requires intentionality and trust. Take a moment to reflect on how He has shown Himself to be the Good Shepherd in your life, and take a moment to thank Him.

  • Proclaiming Truth: The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus gives us life more abundantly. Proclaim this truth (John 10:10) over your life and thank the Lord for who He is.


    Closing Prayer

    Heavenly Father, thank You for being our Good Shepherd. Thank you for the promise of granting me Life more Abundantly. As I seek your face and follow you, be glorified in all dimensions and areas of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
